The Parish Council is consulted on planning applications within the parish and in parishes close to its boundaries. Parish Councils are one of many planning consultees. The decision-making authority for planning applications in Cornwall is Cornwall Council.
Parish Councillors review planning applications before each Parish Council meeting. Parish Council meetings are held in public, with a public speaking period near the start of each meeting. The Parish Council decides whether to support or object to each planning application and sends its comments to Cornwall Council.
